Located in the south central part of the sub-region known as West Africa, Ghana is known as a peaceful country that was built on the trade of salt and gold. It has a population of 25.5 million people and is one of the worlds leading producers of cocoa beans. Though Ghana has improved living conditions and employment for those in poverty throughout the past few years, 2/3 of the country is very rural and lacks real job opportunities leaving many without necessary resources especially medical treatment. Having been a refugee and hospitalized in Ghana, Kelibell has several connections and friends here.
Liberia Sponsorship
Located in the south western part of the subregion known as West Africa, Liberia was founded by freed American slaves, hoping for a better life. Liberia exports rubber, timber, diamonds, iron and cocoa.
Unfortunately, Liberia has endured years of turmoil and civil war. Because of this, the country is impoverished. Many people don’t have jobs. More than half the people cannot read. A lack of electricity and running water is common. Kelibell was born in Liberia and has a heart for the people suffering in this country.
